Henry James Husbands "Jim", 87, of Aurora, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, December 19, 2018. He was born October 14, 1931 in Cincinnati, Ohio, son of the late Henry and Myrtle (Hutton) Husbands.
Jim was a member of the Railroad Club, Wild Flower Society and Cincinnati Transit Authority. He was a Herpetologist (loved snakes) and was an outdoorsman. He loved the Cincinnati Zoo, even working as a security guard after retirement from Conrail Railroad.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jean Husbands of Aurora, IN; 3 daughters, Cindy (Chuck) Wilhelm of Cincinnati, OH, Charlene (Michael) Haggis of Aurora, IN, Yvonee (Eric) Boltz of Cincinnati, OH; son, Gary Husbands of the Philippines; step-son, David Gladwell of Aurora, IN; 5 grandchildren, Nicholas Coffin, Eric Wilhelm, Jeremiah Coffin, Brandon Wilhelm, Sabrina Haggis; 5 great grandchildren, Emma, Landon, Justus, Jase and Lydia.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Myrtle Sue Husbands.
Family and friends will be received on Friday, December 28, 2018 from 10 am to 12 pm at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home, Friday, December 28, 2018 at 12 pm.
Interment will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Cincinnati, Ohio.
