Warren E. Peterson, 78, died June 7 at St. Elizabeth Fort Thomas.
He was a production control manager and purchasing agent with Fischer Special Manufacturing Company in Cold Spring, a Navy veteran, founding president of Tri-State Bleeding Disorder Foundation, past president and vice-president of Campbell County Band/Choral Association, appointed by Kentucky Gov. Louie B. Nunn to serve on the Campbell County Draft Board during the Vietnam War; past secretary and treasurer of the Campbell County Republican Executive Committee, author of "Controlled Capitalism" published in 2004 and a member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Newport, serving as past vice-president and member on several church boards.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy M. Peterson; sons, Keith Peterson of Independence and Christopher Peterson of Hebron; sisters, Lorna Richmond of Hinton, W.Va., Shirley Sowle of Dade City, Fla. and six grandchildren.
Visitation will be 9:30-11 a.m. Thursday, June 10, with a memorial service following at St. John's United Church of Christ in Newport. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Southgate. Dobbling Muehlenkamp-Erschell Funeral Home in Fort Thomas is handling arrangements.
