Wanda Kate Richey Schuler, 98, of Aurora, Indiana, passed away Saturday, February 25, 2012 in Lawrenceburg, IN.
She was born Sunday, September 7, 1913 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Daughter of the late Edward Brandt Richey and the late Ida Sagmeister Richey.
She and her loving husband of 51 years owned Schuler's Store, which sold wallpaper, hardware, gifts, furniture and paint. Wanda was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Aurora, was active with Hillforest Historical Society, card groups, supper clubs, and sewing clubs. She enjoyed cooking, traveling, sewing, needlepoint, playing cards and taking scenic rides. Her family and friends were her greatest joy. She will be greatly missed.
Surviving are Daughters, Linda Reneberg of Houston, TX, Sonya (Richard) Freienmuth of West Point, MS; Grandchildren, Richey (Marget) Reneberg, Sonya Reneberg, Robert (Elizabeth) Reneberg, Pamela (Michael) Langsam, Kaylee Freienmuth; and Great-Grandchildren, Bryce Foster, Christopher & Natalie Reneberg, Skyler Reneberg, Kolt & Phebe Freienmuth-Fisher.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford John Schuler as well as her parents.
According to her wishes, the family is holding a private graveside service at Riverview Cemetery, with Pastor Daniel Wyllys officiating.
A Memorial Celebration will be held at 3:30 pm, Friday March 2, 2012 at the First United Methodist Church, 304 Third Street, Aurora, IN.
