Laura K. Hooper, 72, of Lawrenceburg, IN., passed away Monday, September 30, 2013 in her camper at Brookville doing what she loved best.
She was born Thursday, July 24, 1941 in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, Daughter of the late Christopher Morling and the late Alberta Sedler Morling.
Laura was a 40+ year Breast Cancer Survivor! She loved to bowl and has been bowling for over 32 years. She enjoyed camping at their camp in Brookville, word find books and quilting. Laura also enjoyed making homemade soups. But her favorite past time was sports, all types of sports. She would often watch 2 tv's at the same time with different sports events on each one. Nascar was her favorite, with Jeff Gordon being her #1. Laura loved time with her family and will be greatly missed by all.
Surviving are her loving husband of 55 years, Larry Hooper; Daughters, Debra (Randy) Taylor and Kimberly Walters both of Greendale, IN; Sibling, Jeanette (Don) Wright of Las Vegas, NV, Irene (John) Bowes of Tonawanda, NY, Mary Barrott, KY, William "Bill" (Rhonda) Morling of Greendale, IN, Christopher "Junior" Morling of Greendale, IN, Ernie Morling, IN; Grandchildren, Andrew Hooper, Alan York, Adam York, Robbie Walters and Abby (Ryan) Morath; Great-Grandchildren, Keegan Hooper and Kole Morath; Several Nieces and Nephews.
She was preceded in death by Parents, and sister, Jane Ingram.
Friends will be received 12:00 - 2:00 PM, Thursday, October 3, 2013 at the First Baptist Church of Aurora, 6060 Blair Rd. (Top of Trestor Hill) Aurora, Indiana.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Charles Hill offiiciating.
Interment will follow in the Greendale Cemetery, Greendale, Indiana.
