Joni Page Sharpe, age 58, of Dillsboro, passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at Dearborn County Hospital unexpectedly of a heart ailment. She was born May 8, 1957 in Richmond, Virginia to Paul Sharpe and Helen Soukup Sharpe. Joni resided in Cincinnati until 2 years ago, when she moved to Dillsboro to be closer to her sister, Lisa Sladeck. She was employed at WalMart until her health forced her to retire. She loved living in town, and going to Janet’s restaurant for lunch and to the Dollar General. While living in Cincinnati she attended Deer Park Baptist Church. She had been attending Hope Baptist Church. Surviving are her parents; Paul Sharpe of Louisa, Virginia, and Helen Sharpe of Cincinnati; 2 brothers, Dean (Tracy) Sharpe, of Loveland, OH, and Dwain Sharpe, of Cincinnati; 2 sisters, Debbie (Danny) Holbrook, of Mt. Orab, OH, and Lisa (John) Sladeck, of Dillsboro. Funeral services will be Friday, June 5, 2015 at DeVries Funeral Home in Dillsboro, with Pastor Tom Holt officiating. Friends may meet her family Friday from 12 Noon until the service time. Memorials may be given to the Diabetes Foundation.
