Jerry E. McAdams, 70, of Batesville, Indiana, passed away on Monday, September 10, 2012.
He was born July 28, 1942, in Floyd County, Kentucky, son of the late Guard and Frankie McAdams.
He the retired Police Chief of Greendale and Lawrenceburg; loved Woodworking, old Western movies, and spending time with his grandkids; and was a household handyman. Jerry was instrumental in starting the Greendale EMS..
He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Donna Rae McAdams; 3 sons, Jeff McAdams, Robert (Stephanie) McAdams, Brian Beebe; daughter, Jennifer (Andrew) Benton; 9 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren; brother, Charlie (Mona) McAdams; and 10 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia.
Family and friends will be received Thursday, September 13, 2012 from 5pm to 8pm at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home, Greendale, Indiana.
Funeral services will be held at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home, Friday, September 14, 2012 at 11am with Pastor Tim Russell officiating.
Interment will follow in the Greendale Cemetery, Greendale, Indiana.
