Hildegarde Rullman, 99, of Aurora, Indiana passed away Monday, April 23, 2012 in Dillsboro, IN.
She was born Saturday, December 7, 1912 in Aurora, Indiana, Daughter of the late Edward Davidter and the late Althea Huxsoll Davidter.
She was a lifetime member of St. John Lutheran Church of Aurora, and a member of the Ladies Aid Society. Hildegarde was the organist for over 50 years at St John's and played for countless weddings, funerals and Sunday services. She was a graduate of Cincinnati Conservatory of Music. She also taught many piano students in many stages of their musical development. She was formerly a member of the Orpheus Club, performing many classical pieces for the public. Hildegarde enjoyed quilting, and was an avid reader, especially enjoying books with happy endings. She loved to travel, visiting Hawaii, Switzerland, the Pacific Northwest and the Oberamergau Celebration in Germany, to name a few. Her Faith, Family and Music were most important to her. She was a pleasure and joy to be around and her positive attitude was quite contagious. She touched many lives with her musical gifts and will be missed by all who knew her.
Surviving are Sons, Daniel (Sandra) Rullman of Watertown, WI , John (Linda) Rullman of Anchorage, AK, Timothy (Pamela) Rullman of Aledo, TX; Daughter, Ruth (Craig) Gundermann of Madison, WI; Grandchildren, Rhonda, Jeffrey, Gregg, Jennifer, Saturday, Devin, Dwain, Wesley; and 16 Great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward C.H. Rullman and her parents.
Friends will be received 5:00 - 8:00 PM, Friday, April 27, 2012 at the Rullman Hunger Funeral Home, Aurora, Indiana.
Services will be held at St. John Lutheran Church, Aurora, Saturday, April 28, 2012 at 11:00 am with Pastor Edward A. Davis officiating.
Internment will follow in the Riverview Cemetery, Aurora, Indiana 47001.
