Harry Guy Cornelius Jr. "Bud", 62, of Lawrenceburg, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2023 at Ridgewood Health Campus. He was born January 20, 1961 in Lawrenceburg, Indiana and was the sixth child of the late Harry and Ruth (Lingg) Cornelius.
Bud grew up on Mt. Pleasant Ridge and graduated from East Central High School. In 1984 he joined the U.S. Army and specialized in helicopter repair. He was stationed mostly in Hawaii. A Union Carpenter by trade, he also enjoyed working in the hospitality profession. For man years he was a bartender at the Tree House Restaurant in Aurora and after that as a black jack dealer at the casino in Lawrenceburg.
He is survived by his 4 siblings, Allen Cornelius, Mary Christine (Mark) Eckstein, Timothy Cornelius, Eric "Rick" (Lori) Cornelius and by many nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews. Bud was loved by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three siblings, Kelly, Robert (Betty Jean) and Elizabeth.
Family and friends will be received on Saturday, June 17, 2023 from 11 am to 1 pm at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home, Saturday, June 17, 2023 at 1 pm.
Interment will follow in the Greendale Cemetery, Greendale, Indiana.
