Douglas D. (Doug) Mills, 50 of Mt. Tabor Road, Aurora, Indiana passed away Saturday, January 14, 2012, at Dearborn County Hospital, Lawrenceburg. Doug was born October 13, 1961, in Cincinnati, Ohio, the son of Marvin and Phyllis (Rice) Mills. He married Pam (Murray) Mills June 16, 1984. Doug was parts manager for the former Kidd Chrysler (now Jeff Wyler) dealership in Lawrenceburg for 25 years, and was a former co-owner of Flavors Ice Cream and Deli for 8 years. He was a member of the Sparta Baptist Church and loved golfing, fishing, sports of all kinds, going to Turfway, coin collecting, and spending time with Family and loved ones.
Doug is survived by his wife, Pam, son Andrew Mills of Versailles, daughter Sheila Mills of Aurora, mother Phyllis Mills of Moores Hill, Grandfather Ralph Eagle of Cincinnati, brothers Gregory (Sandra) Mills of Rising Sun and Jeffrey Mills of Moores Hill, sister Lori (Joe) Linkmeyer of Cross Plains, and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Marvin Mills, father-in-law Walter Murray, and grandparents Elmer and Alice Rice and grandmother Alta Eagle.
Funeral services will be Thursday, January 19, 2012; 11AM at the Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home in Milan with the Pastor Richard Burcham officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Sinai Cemetery west of Aurora. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 18, 6-9PM at the funeral home. Memorials may be made in his name to the Doug Mills Memorial Athletic Scholarship Fund through the funeral home. Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements. (PO Box 243, 707 S.
