Denise Roark, 45 of Dillsboro passed away at her residence Sunday June 23. Denise was born Wednesday January 31, 1968 in Dearborn County the daughter of William H. and Carol Jean Knigga Lovins. She was married to Anthony Roark July 9, 1988, and he survives. Denise graduated with the class of 1986 from Milan High School and had been a Registered Nurse at both the Milan Elementary School and Margaret Mary Hospital. She was a member of the St. John’s Lutheran Church at Farmers Retreat, was a member of the St. John’s Ladies and Friends of the Library of the Milan Library. She was a very good caretaker, mother, wife. She enjoyed listening, playing, and singing to music.
Denise is survived by her husband, Anthony, sons Norman Grant (Amanda) Roark of Greensburg and William Tanner Roark of Dillsboro, Mother Carol Lovins of Milan and brother Tom (Becky) Lovins of Dillsboro, nieces Nakesha Whitaker and Casey Lovins, and nephew Cody Lovins, and her loving dog, Nemo.
Funeral services will be Thursday June 27, 2013, 11AM at St. John’sLutheran Church at Farmer’s Retreat with Pastor Garry Wickert officiating. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8PM Wednesday at Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home, Milan and 1 hour prior to services on Thursday at the church.
