Dana Lee Ballard, 37, Rising Sun, IN, passed away at 8:35 AM, Saturday, February 19th, at his parent's residence. Dana was born in Lawrenceburg, IN on March 22, 1973, a son of Betty (Jackson) and Stanley Ballard, of Rising Sun, IN. He was graduate of Rising Sun High School, Class of 1991 and attended Rising Sun Church of the Nazarene. He worked as a warehouse manager at Archway Sales, Inc. Cincinnati, OH. Dana also worked as a fitness trainer and he owned and operated Extreme Fitness & Tan in Rising Sun, IN.He liked working out and encouraging other people at the gym. He also enjoyed movies, music, karaoke and Halloween was his favorite holiday. Dana loved kids and was a very special uncle to his nieces and nephews. Dana was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend and will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.
Dana is survived by his parents, Stanley and Betty Ballard of Rising Sun, INthree brothers, David (Regina) Ballard, of Patriot, IN; Kevin (Kerrie) Ballard, of Greendale, IN; Steve Ballard, of Rising Sun, IN; two sisters, Debbie (Marvin) Chrisman, of Lawrenceburg, IN; Kathy Scott & special friend Jeff Lyons, of Aurora, IN. Dana is also survived by nieces; Racheal Ballard, Janelle Ballard, Danielle Ballard, Chantel Ballard, Kayla Ballard, Alyssa Ballard, Michelle Moreillon, Jackie Morales, & Lisa Martin and by nephews; Brandon, Tyler, & Keegan Ballard, Michael Scott & Mark Scott and by several great nieces & nephews.
Funeral Service at Markland Funeral Home, Rising Sun, IN, at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, February 23rd, with Rev. Chris Robinson officiating. Friends are invited to call Tuesday 5-8 PM. at Markland Funeral Home. Burial will be at Rising Sun New Cemetery in Rising Sun, IN. Memorial donations may be made to the family for funeral expense or to the Dana Ballard Scholarship Fund.
