Bob Shinkle Jr., 75, of Moores Hill, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2023. He was born March 19, 1948 in Milan, Indiana, son of the late Robert and Bonnie (Ashcraft) Shinkle.
Bob was the oldest of six and he took on his Big Brother role proudly. He carried that on in all aspects of his life. He was known to care for many. He was a founding father and the 1st standing president of Aurora Harley of Cochran (1980). He was a long serving employee of Aurora Casket Company (25 years) and a Union Plasterer for Omni Fireproofing. Bob was happy when he was with his brothers and family and happiest when riding on two wheels. He enjoyed having cold Bud Lights and hanging in the Shop. Bob was a Legend and we have no doubt that he’s enjoying his final ride.
He is survived by his son, Bobby (Angel) Shinkle; 3 daughters, Tanya (Michael) Milliron, Lisa (Danny) Brewer, Amber Drew; 2 brothers, Tim (Chiquita) Shinkle, Robin Shinkle; his brother from another mother, Jack McConnell; 3 sisters, Beverly Owens, Toni (Jack) Waters, Jodie Dale Shinkle; 6 grandchildren, Shelby (Dakota) Knue, Brett (London) Bondurant, Hayden Shinkle, Destiny Combs, Jayden Combs, Johnny Combs; and his 6 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Shinkle Sr., mother, Bonnie Shinkle, wife, Sandi Shinkle, and his beloved dog, Lita.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday, June 15, 2023 from 5 pm to 8 pm at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home, Friday, June 16, 2023 at 11 am, with Tim Halloran officiating.
Interment will follow in the Forest Hill Cemetery, Moores Hill, Indiana.
