Arlen Glenn Helton, 53, of Lawrenceburg, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, February 20, 2013.
He was born July 13, 1959, in Cincinnati, Ohio, son of the late Arliss Helton and Joyce (Alsip) Tunstell.
Glen was an electrician who started working at Gable Electric then worked at TKF Conveyor; Wayne Dairy; and finally Schenley Place in Greendale until he was diagnosed with Lung Cancer. During his disability he spent his time at the Trinity Christian Center as their maintenance man. Glen helped with the addition of the new church and put in the electricity, this helped Glen feel productive while going through all of his Cancer ups and downs. The support of his Church family, relatives, and his 2 pups Mac & Cheese was a comfort and joy throughout his illness.
Glen loved hunting and fishing and he passed this on to his son and his nephews. He loved playing with the kids and watched them grow up playing baseball and football and also shooting basketball in the back yard.
He is survived by his wife, Rhonda Helton; mother, Joyce Tunstell; son, Derek (Tina) Helton; daughter, Sarah (Mike) Deskins; 4 grandchildren, Justin Helton, Jacob Helton, Savannah Helton, Ethan Deskins; 6 sisters, Dianna (Charles) Aaron, Theresa May, Jamie Hawkins (Glen) Johnson, Debbie (Rev Richard) Williams, Patricia (Cecil) Watson, Nancy (Delton) Norris; 3 brothers in law, Jeff (Katie) Price, Doug (Debi) Price, Ben (Theresa) Price; sister in law, Angie (Frank) Smith; Aunt, Marion (Ray) Muddiman; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to a memorial service which will be held at the Trinity Christian Center, Sunday, March 3, 2013 at 5pm. There will be a fellowship meal following the memorial service.
