Judith Ann “Judy" Jackson, 73, of Greendale, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, October 12, 2016. She was born November 30, 1942 in Milan, Indiana, daughter of the late Frank and Mildred (Johnson) Shelton.
Judy was a past member of the Community Fellowship Church. She enjoyed making crafts, home decor, clothing and gardening. She loved cooking, especially baking, and was known for her red velvet cake. Judy was blessed with an unconditional loving and giving nature; always putting others needs before her own. She also attended the Greendale First Church of Christ.
She is survived by her husband, William Isaac "Ike" Jackson of Greendale, IN; son, Steven Lynn (Elisa) Jackson of Minneapolis, MN; 2 step sons, Terry Allen (Jennifer) Jackson of Rising Sun, IN, Gary Lee (Lisa) Jackson of Westfield, IN; step daughter, Brenda Lou (Dwayne) Griffin of Rising Sun, IN; brother, William Shelton of Osgood, IN; 2 sisters, Ethel Herron of Zephyrhills, FL, Connie Mason of Corbin, KY; 2 grandchildren, Seth Jackson, Sierra Jackson; 8 step grandchildren, Jamie Jackson, Michelle Sanford, Kassie Clark, Cheyanne Jackson, Cierra Jackson, Cody Jackson, Lucas Jackson, Hunter Jackson; and 5 step great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mildred Shelton; sister, Rita Shelton; and brother, Jerry Shelton.
Family and friends will be received on Sunday, October 16, 2016 from 5 pm to 8 pm at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home, Monday, October 17, 2016 at 11 am, with Pastor Tim Russell officiating.
Interment will follow in the Rising Sun New Cemetery, Rising Sun, Indiana.
